Sew'n Wild Oaks Class is in Session

Hello Everyone,

This week has been so busy that I'm late posting pictures from my Sew'n Wild Oaks class last Tuesday.  I had my class during the day, and the Preview Party at night......a quilters marathon of beauty.

As always, my girls have been busy.  Marti is working on her adorable little basket blocks, and combining beautiful fabrics for Once Upon a Vine.

Gail has been working on her Grammy Squares

She is very organized and makes six blocks at a time.  This is the way to go when making this quilt.

Paula has been working on her blocks too.

She has lots of strips cut for the next set of blocks.

Karen has been going to town on her blocks!  I should have taken a close-up of all the plaids Karen has incorporated.

Barbara added lots of embroidered detail to her basket. So sweet.

Now she is going to add vases filled with Dresden fans around her basket.  Barbara is stepping out into the design world and loving every minute of it!

She also made this decoration for Easter.  This goes from the table to the mantle and she has quite a few holidays made.

Susan has a gorgeous combination of fabrics for her little Dresden vase.

Wendy is going to make nine baskets filled with flowers for her quilt.

Doris is selecting her fabrics in rich browns and blues.  Love it.

Patty has been stomping out some hexie grapes for her Once Upon a Vine.

Judy's Country Charmer is almost all together.  I think it would look great on a table during the Holidays.

Irene is working her way through every block in my Patchwork Math book.  She is getting near the end and she'll have a beautiful quilt soon.

Isabelle is harvesting some pumpkins for Harvest of Hope.

They are going to be spectacular in her selection of fabrics.

Something special happens in the classroom at In Between Stitches.  I love to sit and listen to all of the conversations taking place.  The girls only see each other once or twice a month, so they need to get caught up with one another.  They are so supportive, so kind, so creative, and so loving.  They embrace quilting and our time together.  You make the classroom special.

Soon,
Lynn

  3. Wow - I just love what I see here! Your influence has certainly paid off in all those perfect points and beautifully constructed blocks, Lynn! If the gorgeous fabric picks are any indication of the wonderful gals in your group, I just can't wait to meet them all!
    Cheers!
